The role

The Learning and Development Manager will ensure the success of our internal training programmes to our customer-facing employees and people managers across the business, with your largest stakeholder group being the Contact Centre.

This role will also support the Head of L&D in the execution of our exciting department strategy, as well as business partnering key contacts throughout the business both in Northampton and London

As a Learning & Development Manager you will:

  • manage the contact centre training offering, from induction to management development
  • line manage two L&D Advisors and support their role in delivering induction and reacting to the training needs of a busy contact centre
  • partner with different stakeholders to identify opportunities to either create or improve the quality of training and coaching
  • lead projects (with support from your L&D colleagues) to continuously improve the design of training materials and coaching interventions
  • create and support career development initiatives to drive progression throughout the whole business

Responsibilities include:

  • managing our CII memberships and qualifications, as well as raising awareness of the learning opportunities
  • designing and delivering cutting edge leadership development workshops
  • managing and working with external suppliers such as apprenticeship coaches and training providers
  • rolling out and maintaining initiatives such as e-Learning and video learning and launching them with a bang
  • understanding our performance and success criteria to make sure that we understand the impact of our efforts

What we are looking for:

  • extensive experience in the learning and development arena and therefore the ability to design and deliver fresh content
  • the ability to project manage initiatives, using technology, relationships and your organisation skills to move projects forward
  • experience of managing and developing a team, and achieving collective success
  • a strong interest in and experience with delivering leadership content to managers
  • experience with group and team facilitation
  • excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • ideally a level 5 qualification in HR, L&D or Coaching
