Be valued, supported, and challenged.
To create something better.
That ‘something’ could be better insurance options for the self-employed, a better working life for our people, and even a better future for our society and environment.
Everything we do comes down to these five values – learning, empowerment, authenticity, pioneering, and simplicity.
These will mean something unique to every person at Simply Business, but if you’re thinking about working here, give them some thought. They’re at the heart of our story.Check our jobs board
Simply Business are an accredited B Corp. But what does that mean? It means we place our people, society, and the environment on a par with profit – and consider them all equally at board level. This accreditation recognises our strong track record of having a positive impact on each of these areas.
We’re at the beginning of our B Corp journey, and although we’ve been recognised as a market leader, we’ll continue to look for more ways to support our workers, help others, and help preserve our world. And we’d love for you to help us.
As far from the musty insurance stereotype as you can get, we’ve created a colourful, collaborative working environment in all of our open-plan offices.
And you won’t be a tiny cog in a corporate machine here either. You’ll be a key part of our business and its continued growth. We’re firm believers that people work more productively and imaginatively when they have the freedom and support to pursue what they’re really interested in – and that’s exactly what you’ll do.
We embrace (and encourage) smart working, giving you the flexibility you need to do your job in the way that suits you best. We’ve been practicing and supporting remote working way before it was in vogue, and you’ll feel trusted to tell us how – and where – you work best.
This flexibility extends to working hours as well, whether it’s on a regular basis or as and when – if your childcare falls through or you need to take your cat to the vet.
Simply Business take personal development seriously, and regularly fund training, conference tickets and all sorts of personal development plans. You’ll have access to our specialist in-house Learning and Development team or external providers, depending on your needs.
Twice a year you’ll have free rein to work on whatever you want in our company Hackathons. Always wanted to fly a drone with a guitar? Or how about build an app for charity?
We’ve done all this and lots more – just pitch your idea, form your team, and get hacking for 48 hours, before presenting your results to the rest of the business.
Being a great place to work (with the awards to prove it) means we’re committed to creating great places to work. All of our offices are geared up for truly smart working, which in a nutshell means empowering our people to do the best work they can.
So at times that could mean using our team pods to focus on collectively solving complex problems. But it could equally mean taking some time in our wellness room, or relaxing with colleagues over a game of pool.

There’s all the serious (but important) stuff we call ‘core’. On top of that, you can pick and choose from the more exciting perks – whether it’s a full gym membership, private health cover, help with childcare, or a National Trust pass.
Some of these will kick in once you’re permanent, but here’s an idea:
Passed probation? Time to pick and mix from things like:
But there’s so much more to Simply Business than insurance and memberships. We also run cycle to work, childcare voucher, and season ticket loan schemes, and we have a handy online form to put in any training or conference requests.
Best of all, though, are the groups, clubs, and adventures that come with the Simply Business territory. Forget a simple Give As You Earn scheme (although we’ve got that too) - we trek the Sahara for charity, throw epic summer parties, and meet up for book groups, public speaking coaching, yoga, cheeky manicures, beer brewing, and lots, lots more.
