Ah, Britain. Where else would you find the likes of Barber Streisand, Bonny Tiler, Floral and Hardy, He-Van, and Spandau Valet?
Insuring almost half a million small businesses, over the years we’ve been lucky enough to uncover some of the best names in business – and that’s especially true this year.
To mark the launch of our latest campaign, celebrating creatively named businesses from across Britain, we’re taking a look at some of the best the UK has to offer.
From the far West of Cornwall, Spandau Valet believe in ‘releasing the inner and outer beauty of your vehicle ’– from cars to boats to caravans.
Barber Streisand are an offbeat unisex barbershop who offer an ‘invigorating alternative’ to the norm. Located in London's Exmouth Market, the friendly staff like to do things their way.
Barnet-based Floral and Hardy started out as a family-run flower stall in London. Over a decade later, they’re still going strong, specialising in classic and contemporary flower designs.
Bathrooms, wetrooms, and tiling – Welsh firm Bonny Tiler say they have a ‘fun name for a company serious about making you smile’. Who can argue with that?
Movers of the universe, He-Van are a fun team with high standards, who offer removals, storage, and packing services to customers in the Brighton and Hove area.
A bespoke optician in Covent Garden, from the moment we saw the name, we knew that we had to share it with the rest of the UK. Gillian and her business featured in our ‘You name it, we insure it’ campaign in 2017.
Established for over a decade, Paul and his team have been helping people in their area, while putting a smile on their face, since 2006. Surelock Homes is another Simply Business campaign star from last year.
Championing small business owners – and our customers – has always been important to us.
And that’s why, following last year’s success, we’ve gone back out on the ‘You name it, we insure it’ campaign trail, shining the spotlight on some of the UK’s most creative business names.
