LONDON, 18 June 2026 – Simply Business, one of the UK’s largest small business insurance providers, today announced that it has reached one million customers in the UK. This milestone comes less than two years after surpassing one million customers globally and two decades since the company’s founding.
The company’s growing customer base is a testament to its commitment to putting choice and simplicity at the heart of the insurance experience for small business owners and landlords. With in-house underwriting capability and a tailored panel of up to 28 leading insurance brands, Simply Business offers cover across more than 1,700 trades and professions.
The company continues to invest in technology to make insurance more accessible for small businesses. Earlier this year, it launched the UK’s first business insurance app in ChatGPT, enabling small business owners to receive an instant indicative price by providing just four pieces of information, then complete their purchase securely on the Simply Business website.
Simply Business’s support for the people it serves extends well beyond insurance. The Big Dreams Project, the company’s social impact initiative, aims to help 10,000 small businesses start or grow by 2030. This includes the Simply Business Young Entrepreneur Fund, launched in 2025, which offered 10 young people aged 18-30 a £5,000 grant to kick-start their business, alongside partnerships with organisations such as Hatch Enterprise and The King’s Trust to help young people from underserved communities develop the entrepreneurial skills they need to succeed.
