The best seat in the house entry terms and conditions

  1. Application
  1. These terms and conditions (the “Terms and Conditions”) apply to the Simply Business ‘The Best Seat In The House’ campaign pledge (the “Promotion”).
  2. By entering the Promotion, either by a Participant submitting a pledge or by a Nominated Pub accepting a prize you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, and that the relevant eligibility requirements in Clause 5 are met.
  1. Opening and closing dates

The Promotion will open on 16th June 2026 (the “Opening Date”). All entries for the Promotion must be received by 19th July 2026 at 23:59:59 (GMT). Any entries received after 19th July 2026 will be rejected.

  1. The winner and the prize
  1. There will be one (1) winner of the Promotion (the “Winning Pub”).
  2. Subject to meeting the requirements of Clauses 5 and 6, the Winning Pub will receive a £5,000 cash prize. The Prize is non-exchangeable and non-transferable by the winner. We reserve the right to substitute the Prize with a prize of equal or greater value if the Prize is unavailable.
  3. The Winning Pub is solely responsible for any tax, national insurance, or business reporting liabilities that may arise from accepting the Prize. Simply Business accepts no liability for any tax implications associated with the award.
  1. Participant Eligibility 
  1. You are eligible to enter the Promotion if, at the time of submitting an entry to the Promotion in accordance with this Clause 5 (the “Entry”), you meet the following requirements (which we may require you to evidence in order to verify your Entry):
    1. you are aged 18 or over;
    2. You have registered UK home address
    3. You are not a Simply Business employee or a family member of a Simply Business employee.

5.2 Nominated Pub Eligibility 

5.2.a To be eligible to receive the Prize, the venue nominated by a Participant (the “Nominated Pub”) must meet the following criteria: 

5.2.b. It must be an independent, licensed establishment trading and registered in the UK; 

5.2.c. It must hold all valid corporate, entertainment, and liquor licenses required by local UK authorities to operate legally. 

5.3 We reserve the right to exclude an Entry or disqualify any Nominated Pub if:

5.3.a. It does not comply with these terms and conditions.

5.3.b. It is incomplete, ineligible, derogatory in language or submitted in bulk/via automatic computer generation.

5.3.c. The conduct of the Participant or the Nominated Pub is otherwise contrary to the spirit or intention of the Promotion.  

  1. Winner selection and announcement
  1. The independent pub that receives the most pledges via the form on the Simply Business Best Seat In The House page will be selected as the winner from entries that are deemed legitimate and submitted in accordance with these Terms and Conditions, We will contact the Winner by email, providing a relevant contact address can be found, on or before 31st July 2026 to inform them of their win, and to ask them to confirm their email address for the purpose of our delivery of the Prize. If a Winner does not confirm their details for delivery by return email within one week of request, we may void their Entry and award the Prize to another Participant.
  2. We will deliver the Prize, together with the instructions and terms for redeeming the Prize, by 14th August and following the winner confirming their delivery details in accordance with Clause 6.2.
  3. We are required by law to publish or make available information that indicates that a valid award took place. To meet our obligations, we shall send relevant details to individuals who request them by email at [email protected] or by letter at Social Media, Xbridge Limited, 4th Floor, Hylo, 105 Bunhill Row, London, United Kingdom, EC1Y 8LZ (enclosing a self-addressed envelope) within one month of the Closing Date. If you do not want details of your Entry to be published or made available to others, please contact us at the email or postal address set out above. In all circumstances we may still provide details about any winning Entry to the Advertising Standards Authority directly on request.
  4. By accepting the Prize entering the Promotion you acknowledge that if you are selected as a winner your name, your image, your business idea, your intellectual property, your company (if applicable) and your business may be used in publicity by Simply Business.
  5. By entering the Promotion, you consent to the receipt of any updates, information, and/or marketing material relating to the Promotion from Simply Business.
  1. Winner publicity

In the event that you are a winner, or a runner up, you accept and agree that we have the right, without additional payment or permission, to use your name, company name (if applicable), logo, submission details, and address for the purposes of announcing the winners and runner ups of the Promotion and for all related promotional purposes. All data will be kept in accordance with our Terms and Conditions including without limitation our Data Protection Policy.

  1. Intellectual property

You hold the rights of ownership in your Entry. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, irrevocable licence to use, display, publish, transmit, copy, edit, alter, store, re-format and sub-licence your Entry and any accompanying materials for the purposes of making your Entry available on our website (www.simplybusiness.co.uk), in any other media and in connection with any publicity regarding the Promotion.

  1. Data privacy
  1. We will collect the content and information you submit when you participate in this Promotion in order to facilitate the Promotion and to manage your Entry and delivery of any Prize. See also Clause 6 above with regard to the announcement of the Winner(s).
  2. If you opt in to receive marketing communications from us, we will also use your personal data for marketing purposes. Entrants may opt out of receiving additional marketing messages at any time. If you do not consent to the receipt of marketing material from us, we will delete your personal data after the completion of the Promotion.
  3. We shall process any personal data in accordance with these Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy.
  1. General
  1. Any decision made by us regarding the Promotion Draw will be final and binding.
  2. We accept no responsibility or liability for any:
    1. failure of a third party (including, without limitation, any delivery provider used by us) to fulfil its contractual obligations;
    2. Entry not seen or taken into account by us for technical reasons (including any Entry which is lost, damaged or delayed as a result of a network, computer hardware or software failure or internet issue), noting that we will not accept proof of submission of your Entry as proof of receipt; or
    3. communications from us which are not seen or delivered as a result of a network, computer hardware or software failure, as a result of an invalid e-mail or other address provided to us, or any ‘spam’ or ‘junk mail’ filter settings (or equivalent) on your email or social media account.
  3. Simply Business, our agents and delivery providers will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to you for any loss, damage, personal injury or death resulting from this Promotion or your acceptance of a Prize unless it is caused by the relevant party’s negligence or fraud.
  4. We reserve the right to cancel, suspend or modify the Promotion and/or modify the Terms and Conditions at any time.
  5. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.
