Small businesses are the lifeblood of our economy and the bedrock of our local communities. They represent 70% of new jobs in the UK and over 99% of all private sector businesses.

At Simply Business we want to support small business owners to help make their big dreams become a reality. In 2025 we launched The Big Dreams Project, pledging to help 10,000 small businesses start or grow by 2030. Harnessing the skills, time and energy of our colleagues is a key part of this, including through ‘Impact Week’ when we connect SBers with small business owners on our doorstep and beyond.

Generous annual leave

Competitive leave, plus bank holidays and the option to buy five additional days of holiday with flexible benefits.

Flexible leave

Our flexible parental leave allows you to approach an important time how you want – with six months full pay to the primary caregiver and four weeks full pay if you’re the secondary caregiver.

Life event leave

Our life event leave is an extra day of leave every year for those big moments in your life, like moving house or your birthday. And as a thank you to our long-serving employees, we offer a two week paid sabbatical after five years of service – then four weeks off after 10 years of service.

Hybrid working

We offer hybrid working so you have the flexibility to work in a way that suits your life. We ask that you come into one of our hubs eight times a month to connect with your colleagues.

Private medical Insurance

You’ll receive private medical insurance through BUPA, covering any pre-existing condition. And a health cash plan that covers your everyday medical expenses.

Compensation

A competitive salary that reflects your experience and the market we’re in and you’ll be eligible for the company’s bonus program.

Pension

We’ll match your pension up to five per cent. And pass on a tax-free sum that’s four times your basic salary with our life assurance policy, with the option to increase it to ten times through our flexible benefit scheme

Flexible benefits scheme

Our salary sacrifice car scheme gives you the option to buy a brand new, fully insured, and maintained car for a convenient fixed monthly amount taken from your gross salary (after 6 months service). And our flexible benefits scheme gives you an allocated amount to use each year on benefits like critical illness cover, dental insurance, travel insurance, or a gym membership.
