The role

A Senior eCRM executive to join us, based in London or Northampton. The eCRM team is involved in the acquisition of new customers, specifically via the email channel, and the on-boarding and engagement of policy holders.

We’re part of the wider marketing team, whose mission is to make Simply Business the first choice for SMEs. The focus is on using best in class communications strategies to engage, convert and retain audiences by leveraging our extensive data, personalisation and automation capabilities.

The role holder will work closely with the senior eCRM manager, eCRM executive, eCRM apprentice and head of acquisition, along with the analysis, content and customer insight teams. Using customer data and analytical tools, you’ll be responsible for implementing new email communications with a view to driving increased customer engagement, value and incremental revenues, as well as an improved customer experience.

As a Senior eCRM executive you will:

  • contribute to the implementation of the eCRM programme using Salesforce Marketing Cloud (ExactTarget)
  • focus on driving improved conversion and engagement as well as additional demand
  • work with the content team to create engaging emails that achieve high open and click through rates
  • query the data to generate insight and highlight opportunities
  • have a keen interest in data, share findings and insights with the rest of the team
  • contribute to a ‘test and learn’ approach to maximise results, which will also broaden your experience across eCRM initiatives
  • work with the design and social teams to create visually appealing email templates, utilising best practice techniques

Responsibilities include:

  • proposing new campaign ideas and solutions
  • campaign planning and execution
  • campaign reporting and analysis
  • liaising with relevant sakeholders at the contact centre when needed
  • testing and proofing

What we are looking for:

  • extensive experience in email marketing
  • experience with segmentation, personalisation and automated campaigns
  • intermediate knowledge of HTML
  • SQL knowledge ideal but not essential
  • comfortable with multi-tasking and working in an agile environment
  • the confidence to manage a whole campaign/project end-to-end
  • a good understanding of online and digital tech, passionate about digital marketing
  • a natural problem solver - demonstrates innovation and a proactive, can-do attitude
  • a keen eye for detail
  • analytical skills
  • experience of working with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (ExactTarget) ideal but not essential
  • ampscript knowledge ideal but not essential
  • good written and communication skills
  • confident team player with the ability to build strong collaborative relationships
  • good knowledge of Excel and Google Sheets
  • experience with creatively combining email and social media
  • an understanding of other digital marketing channels
