Are you a self-driven, analytically savvy, experienced multi-channel digital marketer who is passionate about customers? Are you looking for an opportunity of a lifetime to help create something in a fun, fast-paced, empowering environment? If so, you will want to read on. 

As a Director of Digital Marketing, you will leverage a deep understanding of our target customers, the market, and brand building and acquisition channels in order to drive the demand and lead management strategy. You will be responsible for helping define the target markets, helping create the strategy to reach them, and ultimately help drive conversion rate optimization across all digital marketing channels. You will report to the Vice President of Marketing and work in close partnership with our Go-To-Market,  Brand Marketing, Customer Experience, Analytics and Technology teams.

Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to those listed below:

  • Serve as the subject matter expert in digital marketing, relevant industry trends,  advertising technology and measurement. Bring innovation and best practices of full funnel marketing to SB.
  • Collaborate with Go-To-Market, Brand and Customer Product & Experience teams to understand the business objectives, brand goals and customer acquisition goals and develop audience-first, omni-channel, full funnel campaign strategies.
  • Define campaign strategy, plan and execute across all digital channels, inclusive of SEO, PPC, programmatic display & video and paid social, affiliate marketing etc.
  • Partner with our creative team to develop break-through campaigns and be the advocate for creative best practices across various platforms and formats, combined with customer journey and full funnel thinking, from ad to landing page.
  • Develop and deploy an extensive test and learn agenda, foster the culture of experimentation and data-driven decision making. Analyze marketing campaigns vs. goals/objectives and create impactful presentations for key stakeholders and leadership.
  • Partner cross-functionally and globally with our UK marketing team and our Product and Technology, and Analytics teams to deploy best-in-class data and adtech stack to enable our aggressive brand growth objectives.
  • Lead a combination of in-house experts and external agencies to plan and execute campaigns to support our brand building and customer acquisition goals; directly manage a team of several individuals specializing in their respective channels.

What we are looking for:

  • 10+ years of experience growing brands and acquiring customers via audience-first, full funnel, omni-channel marketing programs.
  • Extensive experience managing in-house and agency teams, with a balance of leadership/ direction and hands-on execution
  • In-depth understanding of advertising technology and demonstrated track record of success in partnering with technology teams to implement and deploy adtech.
  • Working knowledge of a broad spectrum of digital marketing tools and platforms, such as full Google stack, paid social platforms, SEO tools, CMS etc.
  • Advanced command of full funnel measurement and goal setting, demonstrated track record with leveraging marketing mix models, attribution and incrementally testing to quantify and expand marketing investments.
  • Passion for collaboration and experience of successful partnerships with Creative & Content, Product, Analytics, Marketing and Finance teams.
  • Self-driven with the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-performing team environment; with strong ability to prioritize, balance multiple projects and effectively communicate and represent the team’s needs and accomplishments to senior management.

What's going on with work from home and return to the office?

More and more, people are talking about going back to the workplace and the new normal. At Simply Business, we’re thinking of it as a Better Normal. That means offering our SBers more choice and greater flexibility to work in a way that’s best for their particular job, their teams, and their lives.

We’re shifting to a hybrid working model, so we’ll have employees working virtually and in the office at any given time.

We’re also aware there are times when working together in person is the best way to get things done. We expect our SBers to connect in their hubs (that’s what we call our offices) most likely once every few weeks. That said, there’s no one-size-fits-all solution, so we expect all SBers and their teams will find the operating rhythm that works best for them.
