As an Insurer Relationship Manager you will:

  • Lead and/or support Sales, Business Development and Relationship Management activities with defined panel of insurers
  • Build and maintain existing key relationships with small insurer base and build extensive contacts in the insurance market
  • Define and deliver the best commercial terms with insurers for Simply Business
  • Support and advise negotiation of contracts for on-boarding new insurers
  • Support and advise key negotiations with insurers to deliver the best financial results for Simply Business whilst maintaining strong and lasting relationships
  • Deliver team strategy in line with Simply Business core measures
  • Take an active role in the development of our insurer reporting
  • Provide support to the Assistant Insurer Relationship Manager

Responsibilities are:

  • Responsible for delivery of budgets / targets and OKR
  • Responsible for own expenditure within Simply Business core measures
  • Responsible for ensuring delivery of commercial income with defined panel of insurers
  • Liaison, collaboration and co-operation with internal stakeholders to support best outcomes for the business
  • Develop as a subject matter expert on insurers and their products for the business
  • Accountability to deliver the best financial outcomes for the company and, in tandem, to also consider best customer outcomes
  • Responsible for negotiation of commercial terms and contracts with defined panel of insurers
  • Ensure own compliance with all FCA regulations and to maintain awareness of insurers responsibilities to Simply Business
  • Resolution of any day to day issues that need insurer interaction
  • Assist with creating and issuing insurer reporting

We are looking for someone who is/has:

  • Experienced in handling commercial negotiations and adept at delivering results.

  • A skilled networker who is experienced in building relationships within the insurance market
  • Able to work in a team environment to drive best outcomes
  • Strong insurance product knowledge
  • Insurance market knowledge
  • Competent in data production
  • Analytical - conversant in insurance metrics and able to recognise insights from SB data for best results
  • Tactical - capable of recognising trends from insurer level activity and using these to inform actions with defined panel of insurers
  • Creative - adept at creating solutions and able to bring new ideas to support negotiations
  • Focused on service - delivers on promises, pushing insurers to meet / exceed deadlines
  • Highly organised and capable of delivering personal goals through periods of uncertainty and pressure
