Governance of our product is an integral part of our operations, both from a compliance perspective but also from a customer fit perspective.

This role will essentially ensure that we have efficiency and accuracy in the products that we are building, that we meet regulatory and carrier compliance requirements, that our product is fit for purpose, that we are analyzing opportunities for future growth both in respect to the products that we already offer as well as new markets, and that we have an efficient point of contact and escalation for anything that requires attention.

Communication will be key in this role, and you will be required to have excellent knowledge of our product and it’s intricacies so that you can be the conduit of internal comms relating to product launches and optimizations.

As an Insurance Product Governance Manager you will:

  • Build out and own the Insurance Product Governance strategy and framework.
  • Attend frequent requirement gathering sessions with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Add value at product refinement sessions with regards to compliance and regulatory considerations.
  • Work closely with Legal, compliance and commercial teams to ensure all aspects of our delivery remain compliant.
  • Be the point of referral for product governance and product detail queries.
  • Design tactical improvement processes for product feedback.
  • Manage resolutions with relevant product owners when product inefficiencies are discovered.
  • Identify and define growth opportunities based off of gaps in processes.
  • Feed back to and work with teams to discuss quality concerns.
  • Fully integrate with all new product builds and optimizations.
  • Manage the Insurance Product Development Tester as they perform their daily tasks of validating delivery methods and outputs.

What's going on with work from home and return to the office?

More and more, people are talking about going back to the workplace and the new normal. At Simply Business, we’re thinking of it as a Better Normal. That means offering our SBers more choice and greater flexibility to work in a way that’s best for their particular job, their teams, and their lives.

We’re shifting to a hybrid working model, so we’ll have employees working virtually and in the office at any given time.

We’re also aware there are times when working together in person is the best way to get things done. We expect our SBers to connect in their hubs (that’s what we call our offices) most likely once every few weeks. That said, there’s no one-size-fits-all solution, so we expect all SBers and their teams will find the operating rhythm that works best for them.
