We are adding an Assistant Insurance Product Manager to our team in Boston. The Insurance Product team is focused on connecting the dots between the insurance needs of small businesses and products from insurers in the market.

The team owns what we sell and is responsible for selecting, designing, developing, implementing, and managing the range of insurance products we offer. The team works with people across the business, some key partnerships include Data and Analytics, Underwriting, Partnerships & Distribution, and our Customer Solutions Center.

As an Assistant Insurance Product Manager you will:

  • Report into the Product Operations Manager - you will have operational involvement in delivering product changes and coordinating communication within the business
  • Assist with the analysis of existing products, you will be seeking opportunities to enhance our product offering, making recommendations underpinned by data and customer driven insights
  • Be dedicated to delivering the maximum impact with the minimum effort, releasing value early wherever possible, creating a sense of urgency and momentum
  • Assist with structured market research and competitor analysis
  • Ensuring stakeholders are kept up to date and that we deliver in an efficient manner, breaking down changes into smaller value chunks and iterate through delivery

What we are looking for:

  • Experience within the insurance industry is required. You have a good understanding of underwriting principles and risk selection
  • Aptitude and mindset to learn new skills, such as coding methods using our DSL (Domain specific language), basic Ruby and Markdown, and are excited to learn 
  • Seamlessly blends product management with product development
  • Demonstrates ownership, responsiveness – a bias to action, and commitment
  • Cares deeply about customers
  • Champions and loves learning, both through and with others
  • Loves collaboration, compromises in the right way, and has experience in leading varied groups to swift decisions
  • Has good organizational skills with an eye for detail (ability to see small details in large data)Is able to plan, prioritise and adapt in a busy and thriving environment
