We need an Insurance Product Portfolio Analyst to join us in our London & Northampton office!

As a team we are responsible for:

Understanding the insurance needs of SMEs and landlords, working with our insurer partners to use their existing products, and designing customer propositions to meet these needs, while also delivering commercial value for Simply Business, our insurers and our partners.

The team owns what we sell and is responsible for selecting, designing, developing, implementing and managing the range of insurance products we offer. The team works with people across the business – key teams include insurer relations, claims, customer insight, marketing and acquisition, operations, underwriting, partnerships and distribution, and digital product.

As an Insurance Product Portfolio Analyst you will:

  • make recommendations that increase the value of our insurance product portfolio by analysing our change model and reporting on core operational metrics and trends
  • drive stronger proactive planning by modelling our commercial roadmap and providing scenario analysis for future demand and capacity
  • identify and quantify the key bottlenecks in our model by using lean methodologies and propose solutions to overcome these

Responsibilities include:

  • leading BAU reporting of our core model metrics - throughput, output, volume and request trends, success rates, etc
  • conducting deep dive analysis into potential areas of concern or opportunity that arise from the above
  • working closely with our Operations Manager and Product Architect to identify and agree actions to improve operational performance based on your analysis

We are looking for someone who has:

  • strong data and analytical capabilities
  • ownership, responsiveness – a bias to action, and commitment
  • strong problem-solving skills, motivated to take on challenges with minimal direction
  • a track record of making trade-off calls on prioritisation – being able to demonstrate great decision making using data and evidence 
  • experience in commercial insurance lines or in a complex insurance domain experience in Lean Six Sigma and/or Resource Planning
