Following the UK's exit from the European Union, there are changes to Legal Right to Work legislation that applicants from the EU will need to be aware of.

Before 30th June 2021, EU/EEA/Swiss citizens have a legal right to work in the UK and can provide a passport as evidence of this.  No visa will be required.

From 30th June 2021, EU citizens will be required to provide evidence of settled or pre-settled status in the UK as evidence of right to work.  Without this, EU citizens will require a visa to work in the UK.

We are looking for an Junior Email Marketing Executive to join us in London or Northampton.

As a team we are responsible for the acquisition of new customers, specifically via the email channel, and work across the entire lifecycle of the customer. The eCRM team is part of the wider marketing team whose mission is to make Simply Business the first choice for SMEs and landlords. The focus is on using best in class communication strategies to engage, convert and retain audiences by leveraging our extensive data, personalisation and automation capabilities. Using a highly sophisticated customer data platform and email service provider, you’ll be responsible for implementing new email communications, with a view to driving increased customer engagement, value and incremental revenues, as well as an improved customer experience. 

Responsibilities include:

  • proposing new campaign ideas and solutions
  • campaign planning and execution
  • campaign reporting and analysis
  • contact centre campaign liaison
  • testing, proofing and peer reviewing

As a Junior Email Marketing Executive you’ll:

  • contribute to improving and maintaining the eCRM programme using Blueconic and Salesforce Marketing Cloud (ExactTarget)
  • work with the content team to create engaging emails that target high open and click rates
  • deliver one-time send, news-focused emails within a short timeframe
  • have a keen interest in data, as you’ll query the data to inspect selected audiences 
  • you’ll contribute to a ‘test and learn’ approach to maximise results 
  • work with the design and social teams to create visually appealing email templates

What we’re looking for:

  • some experience of, or strong interest in, email marketing
  • any experience with segmentation, personalisation and automated campaigns is a bonus
  • knowledge of HTML and SQL is ideal but not essential
  • a natural problem solver. demonstrating innovation and a proactive, can-do attitude
  • a keen eye for detail – someone that’s curious to learn a deep understanding of our internal applications and third party technology providers
  • ability to multi-task and work in an agile environment
  • the confidence to manage a whole campaign or project end-to-end
  • good written and communication skills
  • a good understanding of online and digital tech – and passion for digital marketing 
  • confident team player with the ability to build strong collaborative relationships
