Property lifeline thrown for student buyers
News by Adfero for Simply Business - independent providers of public liability insurance, business finance, landlord insurance, buy-to-let mortgages & commercial mortgages.
A new buy-to-rent product has recently appeared on the market aimed at students.
To help students get on the property ladder, Capital Fortune Independent Mortgage Advisers are offering a buy-to-rent scheme where they can buy a property to share with other students.
As the rental income from the sharing students supports the mortgage it allows the owner to achieve the correct rental income to cover the mortgage payments.
Rob Killeen, Managing Director of Capital Fortune and a former NUS President at Lancaster University welcomed the new initiative. He commented: “Students are facing ever-increasing difficulty in securing affordable, good quality housing and rental costs in student towns are spiralling. Our products will allow students to purchase their own property and provide appropriate and comfortable accommodation to their fellow house sharers. It is the ideal way to get a first foot onto the property ladder and we are proud to be supporting the scheme.”
