Businesses should shop around for motor insurance
Business motorists could be missing a more competitive quote by not shopping around, it has been claimed.
According to research conducted by Sainsbury's Bank, when purchasing motor insurance, one out of every five motorists obtained a single insurance quotation.
"Only obtaining one or two quotes won't give you a clear view of the varying price comparisons out there," said Lucy Hunter, manager of Sainsbury's Car Insurance.
"We recommend getting at least four quotes so that you can compare against price and level of cover and make an informed decision on what you're prepared to spend," she added.
Indeed, according to Sainsbury's Bank, of those who have stayed with one insurer for three or more years, 37 per cent have reported an increase in premium levels.
The easiest way to research quotes is to use a comparison site. Most sites can't give live quotes, especially for business purposes, however there are a couple which will give a range of quotes based on your individual business information.
Simply Business offers a fast and easy way to choose a quote and buy all types of business insurance, including for vans and business vehicles.
