Tradesmen in the building industry can take pride in the results of a new survey, which revealed that a large majority of homeowners are pleased with their new-build properties.
The Home Builders Federation (HBF) surveyed owners of new homes for its customer satisfaction survey and found that more than three-quarters were happy with the quality of their new abode.
Furthermore, 75 per cent said that they would recommend their builder to a friend, suggesting the figures might result in further business.
On the day of moving in, 72 per cent of respondents were satisfied or very satisfied with the condition of the home, with 69 per cent regarding the standard of finish as good.
The results were compiled by collating responses from people who have moved into homes bought from the 17 larger builders in the UK.
Last week, the HBF amended its voluntary code of conduct or for? its members to ensure transparency of property pricing.
