The UK's Health and Safety Executive (HSE) has announced details of this year's campaign against slips, trips and falls from height.

Running over part of February and March, the new drive will focus its attentions on a number of employee groups, including tradesmen such as electricians and those working in the construction sector.

This latest campaign has been launched by the HSE with the objective of, not only preventing slips, trips and falls, but also as a way of raising awareness of the issue.

"The campaign is aimed primarily at those most at risk of a slip, trip or fall at work and those best placed to take action," said the HSE, an organisation that enforces the work of the Health and Safety Commission, in partnership with local authorities.

"More than 1,000 workers a month suffer a serious injury following a slip, trip or fall."

The new campaign will begin on February 25th.
