A seminar detailing the dangers of slips, trips and falls has been announced by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE).
Taking place at Luton Airport on April 22nd 2008, the seminar is to be offered free of charge and will involve the participation of representatives from both the public and private sector.
"Each year slips, trips and falls cost our region over £66 million, but what these figures don't reflect is the extent to which these injuries affect individual workers and their families," said Geoff Baker, head of operations in the east for the HSE.
The seminar is being run by the HSE, in partnership with Luton Borough Council and London Luton Airport.
As part of its Shattered Lives campaign, the HSE is campaigning in order to raise awareness of the dangers of slips, trips and falls.
