Building firm wins local prize

A building firm in Leicester has come first in a regional builders' award, it has been revealed.
According to reports from the Leicester Mercury, building firm Ellis and Hughes have scored first prize in the Federation of Master Builders' (FMB) best small renovation project for the Midlands region.
"Ellis and Hughes has done a fantastic job to win the Midlands region award," said John Watson, director of the FMB Midlands.
As a result of their success, Ellis and Hughes have won the right to compete in the Master Builder of the Year awards with other competitors from around the country.
"The reality is that the majority of builders are hardworking, friendly and extremely skilled craftsmen, so we want to reward these companies and prove that building work in the Midlands surpasses the rest," Mr Watson added.
