Association of British Insurers to host business event
A discussion paper on the Retail Distribution Review was released by Financial Services Authority (FSA) on June 27th.
Key areas of the paper will be discussed at a conference gathering senior speakers from the FSA and industry and trade associations on July 12th at the boardroom of the Association of British Insurers (ABI).
Regaining trust in the industry and keeping consumers at the heart of FSA's activities will be two of the subjects addressed at the conference, which may bring up the topic of business insurance.
FSA speakers will also talk about the intermediary's challenge, commission and alternatives and increasing demand for savings and advice.
Experts will also be developing the topic of ensuring robust professional service in the industry.
This week, the ABI welcomed the announcement by the government that flood victims, and homeowners in particular, would be given extra help to cope with damages.
