Money saving tip announced for SMEs
News by Adfero for Simply Business - independent providers of public liability insurance, business finance, landlord insurance, buy-to-let mortgages & commercial mortgages.
An expert has offered money saving advice to small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
Tim Wolfenden, head of home services at uSwitch, believes that, not only are SMEs financially constrained in the same way as consumers, but savings of up to 50 per cent can be achieved simply by changing providers for gas and electricity services.
"I think [businesses are] struggling as much as consumers - if not more so, because in the business marketplace they sign into contracts," said Mr Wolfenden.
"We find that, for businesses who haven't ever made a choice to switch supplier, they could save 50 per cent on their bills. So there's a massive saving."
In related news, earlier this month, uSwitch announced price increases of 15 per cent for gas and electricity by British Gas.
