ISMM outlines benefits of direct marketing

A representative from the Institute of Sales and Marketing Management (ISMM) has confirmed that direct marketing remains an effective medium for advertising.
Ren Kapur, the director of corporate development at the ISMM has confirmed her belief that, because of the ability of direct marketing to move in accordance with the patterns of clients, direct marketing is still an effective tool for businesses.
Moreover, after using the mediums of email and telephone, direct marketing initiatives are once again making use of postal services.
"The reason that direct marketing is considered so effective is that the nature of it changes according to customer trends," said Ms Kapur.
"Direct marketing is so much more flexible, hence why it maintains its edge all the time."
It was also observed that for a direct marketing campaign to be a success, it is dependent upon "quality leads" for the measurement of a particular promotion's impact.
