The government has announced a new ‘credit easing’ scheme which it says will help small businesses in need of finance.

The Chancellor announced plans to extend credit to UK SMEs at the Tory Conference yesterday – a similar plan to that outlined by the Labour Party while in government. [Guardian]

HMRC is planning a crackdown on small businesses in the run up to the 2012 Olympics.
