The Square Mile is bracing itself for a week of disruption, as protesters prepare to shut down the city.
A broad range of groups have pledged to participate in protests around London from tomorrow, culminating in two days of direct action on April 1st and 2nd.
Many groups, previously dormant, have reformed for the protests, which are likely to dwarf those seen at the London G8. Organisations not seen since the late "90s, such as Reclaim the Streets and the WOMBLES, have been playing familiarisation games around the Square Mile.
Many of the protesters aim to shut down the stock exchange on April 1st and 2nd. Bankers have allegedly been told not to come to work in suits, although the vast majority of the protesters are avowedly non-violent.
There is concern that policing will be heavy-handed; 10,000 new tasers were recently ordered by the police, 150 of which will be given to the Met.
