Giving Something Back

How do we give back to the community?

We are passionate about giving back.

We are currently supporting the ‘Rise To’ Challenge. This entails sponsoring and mentoring a team of young entrepreneurs during a 6 week challenge where they campaign to promote an unsung hero.

We have committed to support Haven Hospices in 2012. As part of this commitment employees are encouraged to give up working time to visit the hospice and help out or assist in a Haven Hospices store for the day. We will also be participating in various fundraising activities for the charity this year.

10% of our London team have signed up to a local scheme which helps children learn how to read. They give up working time on a weekly basis to visit a local school and read with children.

We also support employees in mentoring the local community. One of our senior managers provides guidance to year 11 students on both academic and career aspirations.

We also like to get involved in various other campaigns throughout the year. For example our London team recently challenged themselves to cover 1000 miles in 1 week, this was a sponsored challenge. The target was reached and the company donated an additional £100 to the British Heart Foundation.

Employees are encouraged to give something back to the community either by taking part in one of the initiatives we currently support or by setting up something new and involving others.
